He has studied harmony and classical piano in Barcelona. Afterward he studies jazz in Barcelona and New York with Fred Hersch, Barry Harris, Sal Mosca and Jackie Byard. He has played with Al Foster, Art Farmer, Harold Land, Kenny Wheeler, Seamus Blake, Arturo Stable, Mark Turner, Eddie Henderson, Sonny Fortune, Jesse Davis, Marc Johnson, Jeff Ballard, Guy Lafitte, Ed Thigpen, Oliver Jackson, Ralph Moore, Roy Hargrove, Idris Muhammad, Julian Arguelles, Roberto Gatto, Pietro Tonolo, Francesco Petreni, Eran Har Even, Enzo Carpentieri, Stefanno Senni, Nathalie Williams, Stephen Keogh, Zé Eduardo, Demian Cabaud, Jeff Williams and Scott Hamilton. He has played also with spanish musicians as Perico Sambeat, Chano Domínguez, Javier Colina, Jorge Pardo, Marco Mezquida, Javier Vercher, Albert Sanz, Lluc Casares, Martín Léiton, Pol Omedes, Xavi Casellas, Manel Fortià, Javier Moreno, Juanma Barroso, Celeste Alías, Ana Rossi, Raynald Colom, Lara Bello, Carlos Falanga y Guillermo McGill.Perico Sambeat, Chano Dominguez, Javier Colina, Albert Sanz and Guillermo Mcgill. He has participated in projects with flamenco musicians like Miguel Poveda and Chicuelo. Also he has made a fusion with andalusi music with Driss elMaloumi. He has participated in almost all the Jazz Festivals in Spain and he has performed as well in Europe, South America, Morocco and Japan.
He plays now in trio with David Xirgu on drums and Masa Kamaguchi on acoustic bass. He also plays in duet with Marco Mezquida, Horacio Fumero and Cristina Vilallonga.
He has recorded as a leader in trio Live in Bilbao, Esmuc blues and Live in Jamboree, in duet with Marco Mezquida, Horacio Fumero and Cristina Vilallonga, in solo piano in Old bottle, new wine. And as a side man in CD´s of Perico Sambeat, Gorka Benitez, Chris Kase, Bruce Arkin, Bob Sands, Gary Willis, Eladio Reinon, Toni Vaquer and the Voodoo Kids, Jose Carlos Suarez, Xavi Maureta, etc.
He is professor at the Jazz Department of the Music University of Catalonia (ESMUC). Composer and performer of the soundtrack of the film "Tren de sombras" of Jose Luis Guerin.
